Jeffrey H. Zaiger’s experience is in the prosecution and defense of a broad range of complex commercial disputes in federal and state courts and arbitration proceedings throughout the U.S.  He litigates on behalf of corporate clients, institutional clients, and consumers in disputes running the gamut of commercial litigation.  This includes: breach of fiduciary duty, fraud, breach of contract, legal malpractice, defamation, insurance coverage, fraudulent transfers, and other complex commercial claims.  His cases include:

• Winning a $132 million judgment in Delaware Bankruptcy Court on behalf of a Litigation Trustee and group of secured lenders against funds managed by a large private equity firm;

• Post-trial dismissal a WARN Act class action brought against a private equity firm in the Eastern District of Louisiana;

• Represented a luxury hotel owner in insurance litigation in state court, resulting in a nine‑figure settlement on the eve of trial;

• Successfully petitioning the United States Supreme Court to vacate Ninth Circuit's reversal of class certification denial in malpractice class action;

• Dismissal motion granted in defense of a national law firm in action brought by Facebook and Mark Zuckerberg claiming malicious prosecution and judicial misconduct;

• Dismissal motion granted in defense of a national law firm in a $720 million RICO class action;

• Representation of a major international bank in a dispute following the theft of a corporate acquisition;

• Representation of a global asset management firm in a case alleging breach of contract and fiduciary duties;

• Representing tens of thousands of individual consumer plaintiffs pursuing a large corporate defendant for violations of state and federal antitrust laws; and,

• Successfully petitioning for asylum relief in a multi-year pro bono matter.

Mr. Zaiger is a graduate of Lafayette College (B.A. cum laude, 2002) and Boston University School of Law (J.D. 2007). He served as Editor-in-Chief of the Boston University International Law Journal.

Mr. Zaiger is a member of the Bar in New York, Connecticut and Massachusetts, and he is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of the United States, the United States Court of Appeals for the Second, Third, Fifth and Ninth Circuits, and numerous U.S. District Courts. Mr. Zaiger is an active member of the Federal Bar Council. 

Since 2013, Super Lawyers magazine has named Mr. Zaiger to its “New York Rising Stars” and, since his first year of eligibility, Mr. Zaiger has been included in the "Super Lawyers" list for Business Litigation.
